PT Megapolitan Developments Tbk, Caring for the Lombok Earthquake

Regions in Indonesia lately have been endlessly given trials with a series of natural disasters such as the 7 magnitude earthquake in Lombok. Many foreign artists who were at the scene and uploaded their status on social media shared their experiences of feeling the big earthquake.

Until Wednesday (08/15/2018) the total casualties reached 460 people and the losses caused by the earthquake were estimated at Rp7.45 trillion. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also instructed SOE Minister Rini Soemarno to send cement aid to accelerate development there after it was devastated by the earthquake.

The world community then sympathizes with this incident. They uploaded their support for affected victims and offered condolences on their social media accounts. Many of them also provide assistance in various forms for victims.

PT Megapolitan Developments Tbk also did the same thing. They provided assistance packaged as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to earthquake victims some time ago.

The event, which was attended by Corporate Secretary, Ouw Desiyanti and Megapolitan Developments employees, provided assistance in the form of blankets and clothing. These items are given to disaster management posts so that aid is distributed to victims who really need it. Not only that, Megapolitan Developments President Director L Melani Lowas also provided personal assistance.

This CSR activity is a continuation of the program that they have been doing every year. Not only the provision of assistance, the forms of CSR carried out varied and adapted to the needs and implementation period.
